What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and the household preferences you share during onboarding (dietary needs, family size, cuisine preferences). We also store your meal plans, shopping lists, and conversation history with the assistant.

How we use it

Your data is used exclusively to personalize your meal plans, generate shopping lists, and improve the assistant's recommendations. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services

• Firebase (Google Cloud) — authentication and data storage
• Stripe — payment processing (we never see your full card number)
• Instacart — grocery ordering (only item lists are shared when you initiate an order)
• Anthropic & Google AI — AI services for meal planning and recipe generation
• Resend — transactional emails

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for service improvement.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings, or by emailing hello@weekdayeats.com.
