
Garlic butter rice

- 200 g long-grain white rice
- 30 g butter
- 3 garlic clovesminced
- 400 ml water
- 1 tsp salt

Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear, then drain well.

Heat butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant and lightly golden, about 1 minute.

Add the drained rice to the pan and stir to coat with the garlic butter. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the rice is lightly toasted and smells nutty.

Pour in the water and add salt. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.

Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
